AWR1642BOOST: Out of the Box Demo from Industrial toolbox gives compilation errors in CSS

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

Hello there,

We wanted to debug the Out of the Box Lab from Indutrial Toolbox 4.10.1 in the evaluation board AWR1642-BOOST. We have been following the steps in CCS and when we rebuild the DSP project it shows some compilation errors.

We have installed the required SDK version and tools.

Any idea why this is happening?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards.

  • Hi,

My sincerest apologies, there is a known issue on the 16xx OOB demo in the toolbox, it has been rectified and will be released in the next revision of the toolbox. In the meantime, you can download the mmWave Industrial Toolbox 4.9.0 from TI Resource Explorer (the issue occurred in 4.10.0 and did not exist in 4.9.0) or you can build it from the mmWave SDK. If you just want to execute the demo, the prebuilt binary provided in the mmWave SDK should also be sufficient. Let me know if there are any further questions.

    Best Regards,
    Alec

  • Hello,

Thank you for the fast response!

It seems that in Industrial Toolbox 4.9.0 neither comes with the project files.

Is it possible to import it to CCS from the mmWave SDK? Or is there any user manual about how to setup the SDK demo in CCS?

    Thank you in advance!!

  • Hi,

So for the Industrial Toolbox typically ships projectSpec files rather than project files. They are very similar, except a project file is typical a copy of an environment we have set up on our systems VS a projectspec is more similar to a recipe to set up the environment on your system. If you are in CCS, just go to import->ccs projects and navigate to the folder you showed above, and you should be able to import the demo. Let me know if you have any further issues.

    Best Regards,
    Alec

  • This worked, I imported the project like you said.

    Thank you very much!

    Best regards,

    Laura.
