FDC2214EVM: Commands for starting the reading stream in python script

Dear,

I am currently integrating FDC2214EVM sensor plate connected to PC via USB and I am manipulating the board with Python v3.0 script that I found on github (https://github.com/mitmedialab/TI_EVM_logger/blob/main/evm_logger.py).

Everything works fine and I have succesfully changed the script to suit my needs but I have a question, because I don't understand completely how the command '4C0501000601290404302AC1' is formed to communicate with FDC2214EVM.

Does anyone know how are this and simmilair commands formed.

No, I have downloaded script from github and transformed it a bit, but the commands stayed the same and it works, but i don't understand why?

I have seen the simillair script also somewhere on your forum. But this one on github worked better for me.

Vasja,

I checked with one of the my colleagues and he pointed me to our Inductive Sensing FAQ where the author talks about the Start Streaming Command that shows the command bytes you referenced.

That page in the FAQ explains some other commands as well.
