IWR6843ISK: Adding RTOS task to existing codes from explorer

Hi Team,

We would like to add modbus support on IWR6843ISK. We are trying to use the Data UART for the same as well as exposed GPIOs. I am thinking to add a task in the high accuracy demo for 68xx project. I am new to RTOS and learning it. It would be of great help if you can point me to some TI RTOS examples for Cortex R4F to try out few things like accessing GPIOs, UART etc. I would like to create a task on R4F and tinker with GPIOs and UART for now. How do I go about it?

Hello Kamlesh,

Some of this is more general than specific to the IWR6843 device. I think it may be best to look at the demo examples to see how you might create a new task. It is fairly straightforward. For information on the GPIOs, UART, etc., I suggest looking at the driver test scripts in the SDK.

For the RTOS task examples, please see how the UARTTXTASK is declared, prioritized, initialized, and executed in the 3D people counting demo.
