AWR1843AOP: Gain of RX antenna

Dear TI Team,

please can you provide thee absolute gain of the RX antennas in dBi. In Figure 7.2/7.3 the values are standardized to 0dB which helps here.

Hi,

The measurements provided in Figure 7.3 are measured using a Corner Reflector placed at 3-4m from sensor. The gain is measured from the captured raw data.

This is the reason why, for this type of measurement the absolute gain does not have meaning.

thank you for your fast answer. I need the absolute antenna gain for range and SNR calculations. Would it be possible for you to recalculate the antenna gain based on your measurements?

Hi Cesar,

a little more information: I would like to calculate a link budget in terms of SNR, where I need to know the absolute antenna gain. With this I will calculate the SNR at the IC input, through the LNA and after the FMCW algorithm. The reason for this is a performance comparison of the AoP and the non-AoP device for radar projects in general.
