AWR1843BOOST: Sensors forum

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST

I work on a high-gain antenna for AWR1843Boost. HFSS analysis run at 77GHz indicate fine results with a resonance frequency around 78.2GHz.

If I run HFSS analysis at the resonant frequency of 78.2GHz, then S11 and VSWR plots remain unchanged, however the Gain plot, especially the elevation curve distorts considerably and both azimuth and elevation gains reduce.

While in the design process we take 77GHz as reference, however with some designs it is impossible to land on 77GHz as being the optimum (resonant) frequency.  If, I take 78GHz as reference while designing, then it is a far possibility to land on around 78GHz again. Is there any possibility to accomplish this in any other way?  Thank you.

Kind regards,

Erhan
