IWR6843AOP: Antenna polarization of IWR6843AOP

Part Number: IWR6843AOP

Hi,

I’m investigating how the antenna performance of a TI IWR6843AOP is affected by surrounding materials. I’ve been modeling the seven antenna elements as simple patch antennas, but I’m not 100 % sure how they should be polarized. The datasheet says that the E-plane is in the elevation plane, so I’m assuming they should be rotated as in the attached picture (compare it to the TI datasheet picture).

Are the patch antennas in my simulation correct, or should they be rotated 90 deg?

Thanks in advance!
