Can you provide more details on how you denote the difference between APA and UPA? Is the difference only in the regions where you detect obstacles with respect to the car?

I think PG460 meet the distance spec (PG460>8m),But i don't know why no APA design guide in TI website,it make me confuse.
APA :0~5m ,Position-> side
UPA: 0~2.5m,Position-> front , rear or boths

Hi Qin,
The PGA460 should be able to sense the 5 meters. Please note that you will have to make sure to use a low speed transducer to maximize the sensing range. Although it is for a different application, here is a link to a design that can sense as far as 5 meters using the PGA460:
