AWR2243: Two pieces of AWR2243 cascade, and the signal sent and received from the slave chip is abnormal

Part Number: AWR2243
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA2,

Hello experts

We currently have two cascaded AWR2243+TDA2 hardware environment, parameter configuration, firmware download and data acquisition are normal, but analysis of the collected data found that the signal from the slave chip is abnormal, as follows. When the target exists, the master chip channel has obvious target peak, but the slave chip cannot see the target peak, as if there is no normal signal transmission and reception;

The test found that the 40MHz crystal oscillator, the local oscillator and the frame synchronization signal all exist. I don't know if the signal power is low and the slave chip is abnormal.

Please help to analyze what is the problem.

Thanks.

  • Hi,

          Couple of thins you can do to ascertain the slave status.

    1. You can first try to move the object further far to see if the peak appears on slave too.

    2. Try to run the monitors on the slave for 20G LO and see if the signal is being recevied all OK.
