Does TI offer a Hall-effect switch similar to the APS11060 or APS11760 from Allegro?

  • If you are looking for a magnetic sensing solution that detects the field in the direction indicated in figure 1 below, you are in luck.  TMAG5123 was designed specifically to sense the field in plane with the device and parallel to the board.  Additionally, this device was created to provide an alternative to the TO-92 package. As such it has the advantage of allowing reflow soldering and having robust, consistent placement.

    The TMAG5123 is able to sense in the horizonal direction, due to the vertical Hall element that is perpendicular to the PCB plane (shown below).  In addition to the TMAG5123 switch, there is the linear TMAG5170 which allows the user to measure both field parallel and perpendicular to the PCB.
