PGA900: download the firmware to the PGA900 throuth the XDS200

Part Number: PGA900
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

Today ,I used the XDS200 to download the firmware to the PGA900. but sometimes the uniflash showed it's failed, but I check the target memory , it just downloaded some code into it .

I want to know which reason can cause this problem?(the wires connecting the target PGA900 to the XDS200 plug is about 40cm )

I'm looking forward your reply.

thanks and best regards

Kim

  • Hi Kim,

What failure message do you see? And do you know what is programmed in the memory? Is it the correct data, but only partially completed? Or is it something entirely wrong?

    Scott

  • Hi Scott:

I'm glad to reiceived your reply.

I don't remember it correctly ,similarly like this "Verification failed: Values at address 0x00000000 do not match".

the code programmed in the memory is the correct data, but only partially completed . if  repeat the programming action ,it can programm another partially data, maybe 2-3times , it showed successful.

so I want to know , which reason can cause this problem?

       thanks and best regards

  • Hi Kim,

Once you have run the programming procedure a few times and the verification is complete, does the PGA900 run the firmware properly as you expect it to? I'm trying to determine if the programming does fully work after repeated attempts, or if there is still something going wrong.

    Regards,

    Scott

  • Hi Scott:

After programming 2-3times , it showed download firmware sucessful ,verfication is OK , and the PGA900 run  the firmware properly as we expect it to do.

         best regards
