Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP441,
Hello,
If TMP441's beta compensation function is NOT used, can the TMP441 be replaced with TMP421 without changing software to control registers?
Best regards,

Hi Shinichi-san,
The TMP441's registers relating to beta compensation do not exist in TMP421. The TMP421 should NACK attempts to write to these registers, even if they are writes that would otherwise disable beta compensation on TMP441. Additionally, the Device ID registers will report different values. If your software is not bothered by this, yes, these devices are compatible.
thanks,

Will the TMP421 return NACK for read attempts to those registers, too?
