PGA460: multiple pga460s do not respond to any information

Part Number: PGA460

Hi Team,

1. multiple pga460 chips communicate with the main control board through 485 networking. It is found that after running for a period of time, multiple pga460s do not respond to any information, and only one can work normally. What is the reason?

2. when multiple pga460 chips are networked through 485, when the data returned by pga460 contains data beginning with 0x55, the 460 chip response will be triggered by mistake. How to solve this problem?

TI Customer Support Center

  • Hello James,

Thanks for posting to the sensing forum! I believe this is a problem we have somewhat encountered before but the setup was slightly different. Would the customer be able to provide a quick diagram of how all the sensors are connected together?

And just a couple of questions to narrow down the problem:

Is the customer is not having any issues a 0x55 is transmitted to one of the sensors from the controller but if the sensor is providing data back from the sensor and if there is a 0x55 in the bus data then the other sensors will stop responding?

    Best,

    Isaac
