Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2243
I plan to run PI AWR2944 simulation, may I know what is the target PDN for AWR2944?

Hello Wang,
We can define the voltage requirements on the device pin level. The min-max supply voltage levels are available in the "Recommended operating conditions" in the AWR2944 datasheet.
The other important power supply parameter is the supply ripple. We are yet to finalize the ripple requirements for AWR2944, its work under progress. But you can use the AWR2243 supply ripple specs (in the AWR2243 datasheet) for initial reference. ARW2944 would be similar.

Hello Vivek
Thank you very much!
I think the max frequency of supply ripple specs in AWR2243 spec is only 6.6MHz, Is there any risk if the max frequency of PI simulation only 6.6MHz?
Hello Vivek
What we need is the impendance over frequency, we have the voltage spec, do we have current or impendance spec?
We don't have digital power spec also, do we have the PDN(impendance vs frequency) spec for 1.2V power?
Hi Vivek
Thanks very much, but I still has some confuse.
I give one example, The ripple voltage for 1.0V is 7uVrms @137.5KHz in aWR2243 datasheet, and the peak current for 1.0V is 2.3A . So do you means the impendance <= 7uVrms/2.3A=3 u ohms @137.5KHz.
I don't think it is possible that we could control the impenance within 3 u ohms.
According to the HardwareDesignChecklist_v1p0_AWR2944 ,which could be found in sprad30, the 1.0V supply should have <=25mohms DC resistance. So there means when frequency increase, the ac impenance would also increase.
Thanks and best regards.
Hi Vivek
It seems good, thank you very much!
What about 1.2V PDN requirement?
Hello Wang,
For 1.2V AC ripple is not critical. Only DC impedance is important. You can take the peak DC current and the min voltage spec for 1.2V and limit the impedance accordingly. For min voltage you also need to consider the voltage regulator tolerances etc.
