Are they equivalent? I mean is the range profile estimated from the detection matrix (detMatrix) equivalent to the range profile from the radar cube?

Hi Tosin,

They are not equivalent. The OOB range profile is done after doppler processing and includes information coming from multiple TX/RX pairs. The vitals range profile is coming before doppler processing from the radar cube with 1 TX/RX pair. This means the OOB range profile will have improved SNR. However, both datasets will give you an idea of the range profile.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts Angie.

I was thinking of trying to extract phase information and then breathing and heartbeat from the rangeProfile from the OOB. Do you think this is reasonable?
