AWR6843AOP: mmWave Studio won't detect my device (mmWaveICBOOST & AWR 6843AOP)

Please try the following:

1. Reset

2. Select the frequency: 60Ghz and the device: xWR6843

3. Connect RS232

4. Load the firmware

5. SPI Connect

6. RF PowerUp

Let me know if the problem persists.

I did these steps already and still doesn't work

Can you please let me know which files I should flash for the BSS FW and MSS FW? I have a DCA100EVM board now for connection.

Which version of Ti mmWaveStudio are you using?

I am using version 2.01.01.00 which has the following FW versions. Tried 68 but no luck.

You should be able to use the xwr68xx_radarss for BSS FW and xwr68xx_masterss for MSS FW

What is the error you get?

This is the error I get. Looks like MSS FW doesn't load so SPI doesn't connect.

Can you please try using the OOB Demo using Demo Visualizer and see if everything is working?

Yes everything works in the demo visualizer. I need to set up in mmWave Studio so I can save raw adc data.

Yes I have the DCA1000 EVM board too. I have everything needed but it still doesn't work.

Can you make the connection to the DCA1000 and send me a picture of the switch settings and how you made the connection? With DCA1000 you'll also need to configure the Ethernet port.

This is the setup I have and confirmed the ethernet port is configured with static IP address in DCA manual. Still getting the same error please let me know what else I can do. 

Are you able to successfully flash the AoP EVM using MMWaveICBOOST only?

Once you are able to do that, you will need to connect the DCA1000 Board to the MMWaveICBOOST (functional mode SOP0, SOP1, SOP2 = ON, OFF, OFF).
