    Hello Barry, 

    It is perfectly normal to see some rust/scratching on the surrounding surface of the antenna. This is due to the immersion silver finish, it is purely cosmetic and will not affect the performance of the antenna. Immersion silver is susceptible to oxidation on prolonged exposure to air.

    But in case you're seeing any issues in the performance, please highlight that in detail. Maybe it is due to some other issue.
