Hello,my question is that:
I know the max IF signal frequence of AWR1843BOOST , which is depend on the propagation delay time, is 10MHz.
In general,the chirp is transmittd from the sensor and is reflected by the target,which finally be received again.Let me give you an example to illustrate my problem
The chirp duration time is 50us, so the transmitted chirp can be mixed with a reflected chirp the delay time of which is 50 us in theory.That meas the max IF signal frequence can be larger than 10MHz and the max detected range is 7500m(max delay time = 2*max range/c).
So i am confused why the max IF signal frequence is 10MHz in AWR1843?
I have 2 answers.
1、The max frequence of IF signal before LPF and ADC is larger than 10MHz.After the LPF and ADC,the frequence of IF signal is limitted under 10MHz.
2、The receiver is not working all the time,.There is an adaptive duration time for receiver working as shown in the figure below:
In the receiver working time, the max IF signal frequence is 10 MHz when the received chirp with the max delay is mixed with the transmitted chirp.
These are my comprehension.I hope to get your correction.
