IWR6843ISK-ODS: Understanding the firmware

Part Number: IWR6843ISK-ODS
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843, , IWR6843ISK

Hello everyone,

im am currently working on a IWR6843 ISK board and have a question concerning the firmware.

My motivation is that we designed our own board with a different antenna design and i want to understand how the ODS Antenna design signal processing differs form the normal ISK.

If i understood correctly, the IWR6843ISK-ODS board is similar to the IWR6843ISK board, but has a different antenna design and requires a BOOST board to flash. Now for the Out of the Box demo, i can access the sources for both boards via the CCS Ressource Explorer. The ISK board has a firmware for the DSP and for the Microcontroller inside the chip, whereas the ISK-ODS board hast a different structure and only one source folder.

Is the ISK-ODS Out of the Box software so different or does it take the MCU software from the ISK without changes?

Thanks so much!
