Hi TI Champs.

There's a request from Customer who is under product certification process.

Among the data requested by the certification company, the Radar radiation pattern is between -80 and +80 respectively on the existing IWR6843 datasheet

For domestic certification, we need data representing 360 degrees (-180 to +180).

Please the Necessary equired data like below.

Yes, It's for customer's board. They need 360degree data for their certification process.

If this is the customer's board then they need to run radiation pattern measurements on their side.

Understood. But Customer still requests to provide 360degree based radian pattern diagram rather than 160degree(-80~80) since they does not design the customer antenna with AOP. Certification Team needs the data from DATASHEET of chipset.

Morever the client company has no equipment to measure the radian diagram, so please think about it again.

Hi jack,

When we measure radiation pattern in the lab. We measure from -80 to +80 degree since we are interested in the antenna performance. We do not measure beyond these angles. The backscatter radiation will be a function of both the device package plus the actual PCB that the device is soldered on.
