AWR1843BOOST: Question about mmWave studio not running

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2944

  • Ok, so one thing before this i think is why my device manager not detecting other devices??

  • According to the document link that I posted

I followed each and every step so if you are going to ask about things that I downloaded, I downloaded mmWave studio, I downloaded FTDI driver, I already had CCS, I already had mmWave sdk, I already have matlab. So what is missing?

(I downloaded CCS and mmwave SDK because I had another board does that make a difference? The document doesn’t talk about these two software’s so is it necessary for me to have these software‘s?)

  • Hi,

Please make sure to follow all the instructions provided in

    "2. mmWaveStudio Installation and Startup"

    C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\docs\mmwave_studio_user_guide.pdf

Please also make sure the DCA1000 is configured as described in

    C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\docs\DCA1000_Quick_Start_Guide.pdf

    Thank you

    Cesar

  • I am sorry but but what does configure mean exactly?

How do we do this step: Issue a board reset and connect theRS232COM port

  • Board reset means power off/on the board

    thank you
    Cesar

  • So I took a new computer and started from scratch. (Previous computer had awr2944 setup successfully done)

I followed the steps your document has: installed mmwave studio, ftdi driver, matlab2015a, visual C++.

now my computer doesn’t even show UART comports(UART port showed in my previous laptop). Both computer doesn’t show the four AR-Dev pack-EVM-012 device yet & that’s my problem
