IWR1443BOOST: Flash download failure with prebuilt binary of Level Sensing lab

Part Number: IWR1443BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1443, IWR6843, , UNIFLASH

Hi TI Champs.

A customer reported the prebuilt image can not be downloaded. But We unable to verify it since We dont have the EVM setup.

According to them, IWR1443 EVM board flash erase works, but the binary file provided by TI is not downloaded.

mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_8~4_11_0 Level_Sensing prebuilt_binaries are xwr14xx_high_accuracy_mss

If you look at the binary file at IWR6843, **_mss file, it could not be downloaded earlier, but IWR1443 is the same phenomenon

Please check, and if possible, please share the Level Sensing binary that can be downloaded to IWR1443.

Thank you.

Regards,

Jack

IWR1443 EVM보드 Flash easer는 되는데, TI에서 제공되는 binary파일이 다운로드가 되지 않습니다.

mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_8~ 4_11_0 Level_Sensing prebuilt_binaries xwr14xx_high_accuracy_mss인데

  • Hi Jack,

I have just flashed this prebuilt binary onto my device and faced no issue. Could you have them check this with a different binary for the 1443 device (such as the out of box binary from the mmWave SDK) and see if they are able to flash that properly?

    Best Regards,
    Alec

  • Hi Alec

I took the customer' EVM kit of IWR1443Boost.

On my testing, The EVM board only works with Industrial Toolbox version 3.6 and Uniflash version 6.3. Not with Indutrial Toolbox 4.11 and Uniflash 7.2 latest version.

Can you please let us know how to download OOB(out of box) image file into IWR1443BOOT EVM Kit.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Jack

  • Hi Jack,

On the device package, can you write up what the last line says? I can see that it says 964, but I cannot read the character which follows that. I presume it says 964D which would indicate that the silicon is ES2. Most likely, the newer versions of the lab is not compatible with the older silicon revision (as is stated at the top of most of our lab user guides).

    Best Regards,
    Alec
