TMP75C: MFR ID / MODEL / REVISION

Part Number: TMP75C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP1075

Hello,

May I know MFR ID / MODEL / REVISION register values? (0x99~0x9B) What value should be read from those registers? I cannot see the information in datasheet. Thanks!

  • Hello Ella,

The TMP75C does not contain the MFR ID/MODEL/REVISON registers. Can you provide me insight on where you received the 0x99~0x9B address values?

    Best Regards,

    Meredith McKean

  • Hi Meredith,

It looks some confusion from customer site. Sorry for that.

Customer wants to find a way to tell if the chip is TMP75C during the first power-up after board fabrication. Could you advise on this? Maybe they can read register 02h and see if the value is 4B00h?

  • Hi Ella,

Yes, it would be possible to read register 0x02 on power up and check for the expected default value. This should work unless the customer is trying to distinguish the TMP75C from another device on the bus that has the same register map.

Alternatively, the TMP1075 has a Device ID register and is pin-to-pin compatible with the TMP75C.

    Best regards,

    Nicole
