FDC1004: Clarification on log file

Part Number: FDC1004
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: FDC2214

Hello Team,

Can you have a look at the following customer inquiry, please?

I have a question about the Eval Kits for the FDC1004 and FDC2214, especially about the software "Sensing Solutions EVM GUI Tool" (SNOC028F).
I am aware that these tools are not really intended for high accuracy measurements, but we are trying to cover the feasibility with these Eval Kits. In this train we make measurements relying on the sample rates and encounter one or the other problem. Here is an excerpt from the log file generated by the software.
Can you say what the two times (evmSampleDeltaMs and logDeltaMs) in the log file mean?
Can you say if these times are generated by the microcontroller or by the PC software?
For example, if I set the FDC1004 to a sample rate of 400SPS, can I be sure that I will get all the samples? I mean, how does the microcontroller make sure that it picks up the sample in time?
