AWR2243: Lua script for continous streaming

Hi Team,

A customer is looking for the lua script for AWR2243 to be able to have a continuous streaming mode. The current script that they have does not support streaming mode.

If you could provide the script file (if we have any available) or any reference on how to change the file would be helpful.

Hi Marvin,

mmWave Studio provides one of the LUA script for cascade setup which can be modified and used for single chip continuous stream.

Here is the path

C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_01_00_14\mmWaveStudio\Scripts\Cascade\Cascade_Capture_ContStream.lua

Hi Jitendra,

Thank you for your response. It does help to capture continuous stream. However, there is a two seconds pause between each capture. It captures the data for only a moment, then it captures the data again after about two seconds later. Is there a way to reduce this pause to milliseconds or make it go away? Two seconds is a long time for continuous stream as we are trying to get live data.

Hi Kia,

That LUA script is for reference and to capture CW mode data in multiple blocks as Continuous Wave (CW) Mode streams the ADC data continuosly but at the capture end in the LUA script has that sequence.

You can modify LUA script as per your need and RSTD.Sleep input is in mSec, you can change that parameter as well.

Hi Jitendra,

Thank your for the time you put in. Unfortunately, we are not able to get continuous streams as we have followed the same. The issue is that the streaming is not real-time. It takes ~2s to get the raw data captured on the host PC after every transmission on the radar board. We have noticed that the capture card transfers the data to PC every 70 frames. This will result in huge delay between the transmission and data capture. We are looking for some script which can handle real-time data rather than every 70 frames, i.e. data capture individually for every frame.
