AWR2243: Velocity resolution

Part Number: AWR2243
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDEP-01012, TIDEP-01017, MMWCAS-DSP-EVM

Hi,

 I am using the TI AWR2243P Cascade Radar evaluation board (TIDEP-01012) with the TI MMWCAS-DSP-EVM Evaluation module (TIDEP-01017). I have a question concerning the velocity resolution.

In the matlab code test1_param.m in \ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\mmWaveStudio\MatlabExamples\4chip_cascade_MIMO_example\main\cascade\input. the formula for the velocity resolution comprehends the number of tx antennas:

velocityResolution  = lambda / (2*nchirp_loops * chirpInterval*numTxAnt)

Why is it the case?
Thank you very much
