AWR1642: people counting example

Hello all,

We are using AWR1642 and we want to use people counting example as a template.

There is a example in ti\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_1_0\labs\people_counting for AWR1642.

We found that if we flash board with binary file in ti\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_1_0\labs\people_counting\16xx_people_counting\quickstart it works fine.

But if we import the project from resource explorer than build and get a binary than flash the board with this binary it does not work.

Board gets the configs and answers.But data messages is looks like device not found any points.

in the MmwDemo_mboxReadTask code enters MMWDEMO_DSS2MSS_DETOBJ_READY but points is always 0.

İt is clear that there is a difference between resorce explorer code bin file and quickstart bin file.

Hi Emre,

Please confirm that your bin file is correct. You need to build the DSS, then the MSS code in order to generate a valid bin file. Can you confirm that the sizes of the two bin files you've tested are the same to confirm that you're building correctly?

Hi Nathan ,

I build the DSS code first.I reimport the project from resource explorer and built again bu the genereted bin size are different again.

Hi Emre,

This should some pretty clear difference. Can you try updating to the most recent version of the Industrial Toolbox and see if you get the same result?

Hi Nathan,

People counting example is removed after Industrial Toolbox 4.2.0 for AWR1642.

So I am using the latest example of people counting for AWR1642.

I am in an urgent situation if you can help me I will be appreciated.

Hi Emre,

I appreciate the urgency of the situation, and I'd like to suggest that it's likely this may take some time as this is a relatively outdated toolbox version.I would also advise that your research the regulations for the country in which you're planning to develop this product, as many countries limit the 77GHz band to automotive applications.
