AWR2944: Chirp (idleTime + rampEndTime of profileCfg) time for 1DFFT processing with 256, 512, and 1024 ADC points

Hello support team,

1DFFT (distance) is a flow processed during chirp transmission.
Could you tell me the time required for 1 chirp (idleTime + rampEndTime of profileCfg) for 1DFFT processing with 256, 512, and 1024 ADC points?

Hi Katsuhiro,

Can you please let us know if you have a own set of operations to be used? Or are you using the oob demo in AWR2944? We would need to have the paramset operations to be performed using HWA to decide the chirp time?

This question has been asked by one of our customer.
He modified FW, but up to 1D FFT process, nothing is changed from OOB demo.
SDK version is 4.2.0.3 and DDMA is used.

Hi Katsuhiro,

Thanks for clarification. In case the customer is using the same rangeprocDDMA process till 1D-FFT, then for 256 range bins will need 15uS as chirp +idle time (though it is not advisable to put more pressure on front end of radar with <18uS), 512 chirps would need ~28uS and 1024chirps would need 55uS.
