AWR2944EVM: Antenna Placement

In the AWR2944EVM user guide Figure 2-14 shows the RX and TX array geometry in units of lambda, but lambda is not defined. Which lambda is used? And what is the offset between the RX antennas and TX antennas? It looks to be about 2 lambda, is that correct?

Hello,

Lamda is taken for the mid frequency of 79Ghz.

The offset between Rx and Tx antennas does not matter from system measurement perspective. It would just depend on the isolation you need between TX-Rx antennas.

Thank you for the information. For the TX / RX antenna offset I do have a unique use case where knowing the absolute offset is important, do you happen to know what that offset is?

Hello Griffin,

if you have the tools to view the design database you could measure the distances. The Distance from the RX4 to TX1 antenna is 267 mils.
