AWR1843BOOST: Changing calibDcRangeSig

Hello,

I am using AWR1843boost & DCA1000EVM and have antenna coupling problem(Tx-Rx) .

I want to operate [calibDcRangeSig], But I want to confirm that I am doing well.

Step 1) turn to SOP2(1 0 1)

Step 2) change [profile_calibration.cfg] at CCS (calibDcRangeSig -1 0 -5 8 256   ->  calibDcRangeSig -1 1 -5 8 256) 

Step 3) Save the file

I post it what I did.

Does Calibration working well?

    I am using mmWave Studio and then get raw Data from DCA1000EVM.

    When I save [calibDcRangeSig.cfg] file, It doesn't change Sensor's firmware.(antenna coupling still exist, When I show on the mmWave Studio)

    CCS doesn't work at my work space.

    Save the File's text(-1 0 -5 8 256 -> -1 1 -5 8 256) can change sensor's firmware???

    Hello Hyokbeen Lee,

    So what the change is doing is that you are enabling the parameter:
    Enable DC removal using first few chirps
    1 - enabled(what you have changed it to in the cfg file)
    This change is not changing the firmware, rather this is a parameter under the command which is DC range Calibration config.
    To understand this change in more depth C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_05_00_04\docs\mmwave_sdk_user_guide.
    This guide has more information about the various commands that have been used in the config file.
    Hope this provides you more clarity on the change you made.

    Is there any method to operate when using mmWave Studio(Not working at CCS, mmWave CMI)

    I control it by mmWaveStudio with matlab.

    So I want to get DC range Calibration config to radar Using mmWaveStudio.

    So I just want to confirm your setup once? Could you walk me through as to how you are loading the config files on the AWR1843 and how are you utilizing the mmwave studio and matlab?

    I just save cfg file that changes calibDcRangeSig -1 1 -5 8 256. I think this Calibration works only at Visualizer or CCS.

    I am using radar by mmWave studio and then get raw data by matlab.

    So I want to utilize calibDcRangeSig while using mmWave studio. Is It possible?

    Hi Hyokbeen Lee,

    So the mmwave studio is for the Rf front end configuration. Most of these cli commands in the config files are for the DSP side. We cannot achieve this via the mmwave studio.
    So, utilizing calibDcRangeSig is not possible using the mmwave studio.
