IWR1843BOOST: Exporting PostProc data as usable data

Part Number: IWR1843BOOST

Hello TI-Team,

I am currently working with mmWave Studio and trying my best to read the data that is contained in the PostProc window.

I've tried saving the plots as a .fig file and opening it in Matlab, however the save function only saves one frame instead of the whole recording.

Is there a way to get to that data embedded in the PostProc Window? To get the data that is used in the "Detection & Angle estimation results" plot and the "Detection Results" tab would be very helpful.

I'm looking forward to your answer!

Best Regards,

Vincent

  • HI, Vincent:

No, we do not have a way to access the postProc results.  The post proc is to enable you to understand whether the data make sense.  But if you want to check the detection results, we would recommend you to develop your own data processing chain and check the results.   The detection and angle estimation is not reliable, because the antenna assumed in the postProc may not match with the EVM you are using.   If you want to check the performance at the application level,  I would recommend you to run the SDK OOB demo to check the detected points.

    Best,
