PGA970: Noise on Waveform Generation

Part Number: PGA970

As you can see on attached image, there are some glitches in sine signal. I'm programming waveform ram with FPGA. I want to know what causes this issue, waveform ram values or something else?

  • Hi Ismail,

Is any digital communication happening when this waveform capture was taken? The noise should not be from the DAC, and it is likely coming from an external source or coupling from something else on the board. You can place a filter  (usually just an RC lowpass sized for your excitation signal) between the PI and PE pins to mitigate any additional noise.

    Regards,
