Possible or Impossible mmWaveStudio

I want to evaluate AWR1843, If I connect LVDS in AWR1843 and DCA1000EVM (But we don't use AWR1843BOOST), is it possible to utilized mmWave Studio?

This is possible for the AWR1843AoP(as you mentioned you are not using the Boost EVM), please refer to the following user guide for more information

In conclusion, in case we set RSS with using mmWave Studio,do we have to prepare for DCA1000EVM?

For raw data capture we don't have to do any changes, other than the ones that are specified in the user guide. In case you are not clear with the reply, request you to please elaborate your query so I can help you with it.

What I want to say is need to prepare for DCA1000EVM and HD connector, in case I set RSS in AWR1843 using mmWave Studio.

DCA1000EVM:(Capturing Raw Data and Setting RSS)
HD Connector:(Connecting DCA1000EVM and AWR1843)

Hi hiroyuki,

The mmwave studio sets the RSS of the AWR1843 not the DCA1000, the DCA 1000 only streams the Raw ADC data over the ethernet to the PC.

Thank you for your reply

I understood the role of them.
HD Connector transfer the raw ADC Data.
USB Connector is to flush the RSS set.
Ethernet stream the data to PC.

In conclusion, If I use mmWave Studio, I must prepare for DCA1000EVM.
Is it OK.

Hello hiroyuki,

Yes you will need to do some initial configuration for connecting the DCA1000.
For the steps you can follow this guide present in
C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\docs\DCA1000_Quick_Start_Guide.pdf
There are more documents present in the docs path : C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\docs
which will help you debug and understand more about mmwave studio.
