LM95233: Use device LM95233 in Remote ranges from 0 C / - 255 C

Part Number: LM95233
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP461

Hi,

I want to use  component LM95233 to range temperatures from 0 C to -155 C for remote diode, if that's possible ?

If this a component  work from 0 C to 255 for remote diode, then it can also work from 0 degrees to -255?

My diode is close to the refrigerator of the IR detector and the temperature range of the refrigerator I want to measure is from 0 to - 155 C .

This range i want to measure .

Thank you !

  • Hello E2E Experts,

As an additional inquiry, can Evgeny use t the offset register and add the offset range +63.5°C/−64°C?

Thank you and we look forward to your response.

    Regards,

    CSC

  • The LM95233 can only report down to -128C in the "12 bit plus sign" mode. You cannot modify the unsigned mode to report negative temperatures.

LM95233's accuracy with a remote diode is only guaranteed in the -40 to 140C range. The remote diode itself may not behave well across temperature and contribute further error that is outside TI control. This is particularly true if the remote diode is taken below our guaranteed temperature range.

TMP461 has a much better accuracy spec with remote diode across the -55 to 150C range. This is the widest range we can offer.

    thanks,
