IWR6843AOP: How can I configure DPC(Data Processing Chain) of mmWave for IWR6843AOP using cfg file and c file.

Part Number: IWR6843AOP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843, MMWAVE-SDK

Hi TI.

During reviewing the TI SDK and IWR6843AOP H/W Architecture, there is to get something insight of how to handle IWR6843AOP using CCS(Code Compser Studio).

However, I have some remain to be unsolved for basic understanding for mmWave SDK and IWR6843 H/W. That is below.

I already read below material.

"MMWAVE-SDK deep dive Easy evaluation and development of mmWave systems with software development kit.pdf"

Q. How can I configure the DPC(Data Processing Chain) of mmWave for IWR6843AOP using cfg file and c file.

: Please give a detail for hint on how to configure using cfg and c file.

  • Hi,

Can you please elaborate a bit on what you are trying to do? Are you trying to run the out-of-box demo with a modified configuration? Are you trying to import the project code to CCS to edit and rebuild? Please let me know.

    Best Regards,

    Josh

  • Hi Josh,

It is nice to get advice from you on my question.

Using CCS from TI, I open the source code of Lab "Vital Signs with Tracking person".

I have to change something which you have to give a advice on how to handle it.

Please be detail the configuration for cfg and c file respectively.

Max distance is 3m/ Antenna 4 Rx, 3 Tx Antenna

Regarding this, I want to make some DPC as below.

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Kevin,

  • Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your question! For "vital signs with people tracking" I will need to answer any questions specifically about source code and classification over email but I can answer generic questions here.

To better explain how 3D people counting is working (which is what vital signs with people tracking is based on) I would recommend you look at our people counting implementation guide which can be found in our industrial toolbox at  .

This is my favorite guide to use to understand the flow of this program.

    Thank you,

    Angie

  • Hi Angie,

I reviewed your guide which you recommended.

It help a lot to understand for DPC configuration.

I can understand the Architecture of IWR6843AOP such as H/W, mmWave SDK, and so on.

    But Uncertainy is as below.

Q : Where do I configure the DPC (Data Processing Chain)? or How can I configure?

: cfg file in chirp_configs folder of mmWave_toolbox/lab or objectdetection.c

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Kevin,

  • Hi Kevin,

Are you asking how to modify the .cfg file?

    Thanks,
