AWR1843BOOST: About conversion Adapter

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TM4C129ENCZAD, AWR1843

AWR1843BOOST

I would like to use one of TM4C129ENCZAD, TM4C129DNCPDTI3, TM4C1294NCPDTI3 as a conversion adapter for communication between AWR1843 and PC.Is it possible?

I have two questions
1.Is it possible to use BGA instead of TQFP?
2.In the case of TQFP, is it possible to have different temperature specifications and serial numbers?

  • As a postscript, is it possible to use the IC itself that I gave by connecting it to the AWR1843?

  • Hello,

    1. The package type itself should not matter as long as you are connecting the signals to the same pins on the new package. The firmware expects the UART/JTAG signals to be connected to the exact same pins as what is done in the AWR1843BOOST EVM design.

    2. Yes, the serial numbers are programmable. You can program a whatever serial number you want. The temperature specification would depend on what temperature you intend to operate your board at.

I am not sure what is meant by the last question "As a postscript, is it possible to use the IC itself that I gave by connecting it to the AWR1843?".

    Regards,

    Adrian

    I see.

What I wanted to ask is that the pin arrangement etc. is different, but is it possible to change it as long as the connection is correct?

Regarding this, I simply connected AWR1843Boost and TM4C129EN, but I wanted to hear that there is no problem with that.
(Maybe it's just as it is, so I don't think it's a problem)
