AWR1843BOOST: Ports not appear in device manager

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DCA1000EVM

Hello,

I have connected a AWR1843BOOST to a DCA1000EVM board. I have plugged the microUSB on J1 and J8 to my computer and the ethernet cable.

I have installed mmwave_studio_02_01_01_00 and installed the driver on my windows machine as shown in the picture below.

However, I can't see the ports appearing in the device manager.

Thank you very much for the help,

Best,

Alice

  • When I open mmWave Studio, I see that the RS232 connectivity and the SPI are not connected.

When I click on set up DCA1000, I get the following output:
    [15:31:53] [RadarAPI]: ar1.CaptureCardConfig_EthInit("192.168.33.30", "192.168.33.180", "12:34:56:78:90:12", 4096, 4098)

  • Hi,

In your picture it seems that the SOP settings are not correct for the AWR1843BOOST EVM.

However the COM ports should still be correct if the FTDI drivers are installed correctly

    Please check your installation

    Thank you

    Cesar

  • Hi,

How should the OSP setting be?

The SOP are put in this following way:

  • Hi,

    Sorry for the delay

In the original picture posted the SOPs are not similar to the Figure 13 picture.

Figure 13 is correct. Make sure you have this configuration.

Please also make sure that switches on the DCA1000 board are configured properly

    thank you

    Cesar
