Hi,

Is it possible to lower the clock frequency of the MSS Cortex-R4F?

If it is possible please tell me how to change it.

Also, if there are any other ways to lower the power consumption of the IWR1443 device, please advise me.

Also the The TIDEP-0091 highlights strategies for power optimization of a IWR1443 76- to 81-GHz mmWave sensor. Please refer this also for reference. The R4 processor is clocked at 200 MHz If this processor can be run on lower speeds i am not sure as of now and will check on this internally and get you an update on this.

Hello Hiroyuki,

No, the clock frequencies are not configurable. All of the timing is dependent on the clock running at 200MHz. It would also be challenging as the Firmware really depends on this frequency.

We don’t really have any way to lower power consumption of 14xx other than reducing the number of TX/RX enabled and having a low duty cycle.
