Hello,

I was trying to get the raw data from IWR6843AOPEVM (Rev F) using DCA1000. According to the mmWave Studio user guide, I should have XDS110 Class Application/User UART (COM #) port after installing the XDS Emulation Software (EMUPack). I did the driver installation with release 9.2.0.00002 64-bit windows. However, my ports look like the following picture.

My "RS232 connectivity Status" shows disconnected in mmWave Studio (V 2.1.1.0). I'm not sure if I am missing any driver and/or any steps.

Hello Yahea,

What you are seeing in Device Manager is correct as well. Depending on the solutions uses a MMWAVEICBOOST or not will create that difference in naming structure between XDS110 Class Application/User and what you see as Silicon Labs Dual.....Enhanced/Standard COM Port. When you select a COM port to use within mmWaveStudio, you will be using COM5 based on your screenshot example as this is the "CONFIG" port and COM4 is the "DATA" port.

Hello Pedrhom,

Thank you for your clarification on the ports.

I have tried using my Enhanced COM port (COM 5), which is also my Application/User UART. However, I am still disconnected.

I was following the instructions from the training video: https://training.ti.com/dca1000-training-video

Any suggestion to troubleshoot the issue?

Hello Yahea,

If you have not already please checkout the DCA1000 User Guide Page that is on our Industrial Toolbox for mmWave Sensors (https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?a=VLyFKFf__4.12.0&node=A__AGTrhNYW8jE6cMxbovlfaA__com.ti.mmwave_industrial_toolbox__VLyFKFf__4.12.0). A common reason that you would get "Error: Connection failed: Calling_ConnectTarget returned 3" is because your SOP pins on the DCA1000 or Sensor is incorrect. Make sure your setup is in "Development Mode" which is different than flashing or functional mode. You can see pictures of the mux switches within the user guide for the AOP.
