AWR1843BOOST: MATLAB GUI Freeze Problem

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST

Hi Team,

Good day! I'm posting this in behalf of the cusotmer

Hello, I have a AWR1843BOOST board. I wanted to check out the Medium Range Radar lab (lab 07) in
automotive toolbox module. I have flashed the prebuilt .bin file to the board without any issue.
When I open MATLAB GUI it freezes every 3 seconds for about 10 seconds.
My relevant system specs are :
i7 2.8 GHz, 32 GB Ram and 64-bit operating system
I have tried:
Retracing getting started guide
Making sure my SOP switches are at correct value
Increasing baud rate (it was 9600 my system can increase it up to 128000)
Decreasing GUI plot range
Connecting to mm visualizer cloud instead of depending on Matlab gui (Data port connects but CLI
port does not)
I have yet to find a solution for my problem and open to any suggestions.
Thank you for your response.

Best regards,
Jonathan

  • Hi,

In some environments we have seen the GUI freeze. However in our environment it is rare.

Usually this happens in an environment where there are many detected points.

Can you try to disable the display of USRR points and see if it improves the behavior?

The matlab gui is not able to process and display the large number of detected points.

Unfortunately we don't have a solution for this issue.

    Thank you

    Cesar
