IWR1843: IWR1843

Part Number: IWR1843
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1843

Hello Sir,

First of all, because I am an overseas user, this text uses a translation site.

Therefore, there may be mistranslations.

I appreciate your understanding in advance.

I am currently evaluating the IWR1843 product.

Please tell us about the difference in detection speed between the IWR1843 and AWR1843.

IWR is for industrial use and AWR is for automotive use.

As an image, I think that the AWR1843 for automotive use can detect faster speeds, is that correct?

Also, I currently need to detect an object moving at 50km/h using the IWR1843.Is this possible?

Regarding the speed, I think it would be good to change profileCfg, but even if I read the manual, I don't know where to change it to be able to detect an object with a speed of 50 km / h.

profileCfg 0 77.2 100 7 120 66048 0 30 1 256 2290 0 0 30

I would also like to know how to change the detection speed.

Thanks for your support.
Regards,

  • Hello,

I would recommend looking at our sensing estimator tool: here.

This tool allows you to select various devices and modify settings to see what maximum velocity can be reached. Our AWR1843 and IWR1843 are capable of detecting a object up to 50km/hr.

I would first set your basic chirp configuration settings in the first page. Then select "send to chirp design" and open the "chirp design and tuning" tab. Here you can modify the profileCfg directly until you get your desired performance.

    Thank you,

    Angie
