Hi Team,
Trying to find out ways to reduce the power consumption of the IWR6843 chip. As I understand it there are two different power domains. One is the "Always on Power domain" and the other is the "DSP power domain". In other words it is only the DSP domain that can be put in sleep mode. I haven’t found a information regarding the current consumption for the this domain though. I aware that this depends heavily on what is being executed by the dsp, but are there any measurements on average consumption and the power consumption when it is in sleep mode?
I also understand that there are different types of chirps that can be utilized to reduce the power consumption. Are there any figures of how the chirps affect the power consumption available?
Furthermore, are these two options the only way to reduce the consumption or is it possible to power off certain parts of the IC via the power supply?
Could the entire device be powered off when it is not used and then powered on when needed? If so, how will that affect the life span of the IC when it comes to read and write cycles of the memories etc of the device?
Thank you.
