IWR6843AOPEVM: Bluetooth Module Support

I'm very new to working with these sensors and I've been reading the user guide/datasheet for most of my information.
Currently, we've been collecting our data through USB connection but would ideally like to transfer that to a Bluetooth Wireless connection.

We tried adjusting the pins to match those of the user guide and were able to pair the device to our individual laptops, however I do not think we were able to get an active connection. None of the COM Ports were able to be recognized. I'm not sure if I missed any steps I needed to do before now or how I should connect this device to our laptops through Bluetooth.

Please let me know if anything can be done!

Hi Aaron,

I'll take a look at this tomorrow. What user guide are you referring to? I don't think I quite understand what you're saying when you say you were able to pair the device to your laptop (which indicates to me that you're talking about bluetooth), but then you say the COM Ports weren't recognized (which indicates USB).

As for the other part, it seems like I was able to pair with the sensor on my laptop. I believe this is the Bluetooth module, but if I'm wrong let me know.

After pairing it, we weren't sure what to do or how to get the sensor to send the data through Bluetooth. We tried the Visualizer with the 3D People Counting. I mistakenly said "COM Ports" because usually we just plug in the device through USB and the COM ports being there indicated the sensor was connected so I assumed the same thing would've happened if a bluetooth device was connected. Basically, the main thing we aren't sure of is what to do next in getting the sensor to send data through Bluetooth

Hi Aaron,

You need an XDS110 device in order to connect to the COM port. If you haven't flashed the device with custom code, you won't be able to broadcast it. I'm following up with you offline with materials for how to do this.
