AWR2243: ES1.0 flash TDA firmware

Hi,

I downloaded the firmware version 02_02_00_03 for AWR2243 ES1.0.  I try to flash TDA with the image file C:\ti\mmwave_dfp_02_02_00_03\firmware\xwr22xx_metaImage.bin.  First, balenaEtcher gave me a warming showing not recognized file, but it did flash it, however, now I am unable to  connect TDAxxcapture card. I would appreciate if you could let me know exactly what image from which directory to be flashed, and if the firmware version is correct for ES1.0?

Q1: Is this the right file to flash?

Q2: Should .h file also need to be flashed?

    Hi,

    Please download the MMWAVE STUDIO for 2nd GEN from the below link as well.

    MMWAVE-STUDIO IDE, configuration, compiler or debugger | TI.com

    This will provide complete information on using the TDA with the mmwave device in the docs folder (cascade user guide). Currently you are flashing the incorrect binary file. You will find the correct binary in this installation.

    Hello,

    I am already using the mmwave studio 2G Version: 03.00.00.14.  The corresponding DFP is version Version: 02.02.04.00 however, according to the user guide, it indicates to use DFP2.2.2.  The issue is that this is for ES1.1, and not for ARW2243 ES1.0.  As the initial posting, I have AWR2243 ES1.0    

    I was informed to get previous version of firmware from version 02_02_00_03, however, the 02_02_00_03 version is the oldest one TI website that I see.

    If anyone know what the correct version of firmware to go with AWR2243 ES1.0 , please let me know and where to find it.

    Hi,

    Can you first confirm if you are able to setup the TDA properly. The mmwave studio has a binary file under platform binaries folder for TDA card. Can you once try to setup the card and see if this is flashing properly or not as per your initial query.

    Yes, it flashed properly.  I am using C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\mmWaveStudio\PlatformBinaries\TDA2Firmware\sdimage_3_7_1.img.xz

     Here is my setting for mmWave Studio below.  Per release note, the last firmware release for AWR2243 ES1.0 is:   C:\ti\mmwave_dfp_02_02_00_03\firmware\xwr22xx_metaimage.bin 

    The second device is unable to "SPI Connect (2)".  I hope this error message will be helpful to find the cause of this issue.  

    Here is what I am using:

    ====

    Studio version:    Studio mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14

    User Guide:  C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\docs\mmWave_studio_cascade_user_guide

    Chip:    AWR2243P 583 which indicates that it is ES1.0

    TDA flashed: C:\ti\mmwave_studio_03_00_00_14\mmWaveStudio\PlatformBinaries\TDA2Firmware\sdimage_3_7_1.img.xz

    Firmware for BSS FW: 

    c:\ti\mmwave_dfp_02_02_00_03\firmware\xwr22xx_metaImage.bin

    Dev-D on the board

    Hi,

    Are you following the device configuration steps as mentioned in mmWave_studio_cascade_user_guide ?

    Can you provide screen shots (for entire screen) for section 7.1 and 7.3 currently and also try the section 7.2 also at your end and let us know your observations.
