Hi, TI team,

What is the actual physical meaning of the function: "RADARDEMO_aoaEst2DCaponBF_dopperEstInput()"?

In "3D_people_counting_demo_implementation_guide" document, It claims to apply the Capon beamforming before the Doppler FFT, but I just can't get it clear enough.

Hi Shihyu,

I think this function is named RADARDEMO_aoaEst2DCaponBF_dopperEstInput because it estimates the input to the doppler FFT. Is that what you're asking? Applying the capon beamforming is just this vector matrix product as shown in the equation.

The w vectors are the steering vectors generated from the Capon beamforming. The X is the signal. This is to extract angle information from the signal to ensure you're looking at the same angle over multiple chirps to do velocity estimation.
