IWR6843: Proximity Vital Sign Detection

Hi TI Radar Champ

A client company wants to develop a wearable module that uses a 60GHz Radar Sensor to measure the Vital Signs of pets.

It will be installed on the back of the neck like a dog necklace, and the distance between the sensor and the pet will be 2 to 3 cm.

I would appreciate it if you could let me know if Vital Sign can be detected in the range of 2~3cm, and how to modify it in the existing Vital Sign Lab.

    Hi Jack,

    We do not have any expertise with such a use-case, so I do not think we will be able to provide much guidance. One thing worth mentioning is that at such a close distance, you will begin to see near-field issues such as antenna coupling, which will make such a usage even more challenging.
