IWR6843: The hard coeded demo does not print out the data in the terminal under the debug mode

I am using Industry toolbox V4.12.1, and I am trying to develop based on the hard-coded config demo

If I build the project and flash the bin through Uniflash, I can get the data using the Teraterm.

But when I am trying to use the XD110 to run in the debug mode, I cannot see any output from the serial terminal:

Is there any suggestion about how to fix this issue?

BTW I can successfully upload my code onto the EVM; for example, I print "Hello!"

Hello Toby.

I would make sure that the COM port you are looking at in CCS Debug is the same as the COM port you were using to view the data output stream in TeraTerm. However, if you are trying to see the information on the input COM port, this will not show anything as this port is not opened in this lab, and hence, no information will be shown on it. The idea is that this port does not need to be opened for this lab as the CLI is hardcoded and thus does not need to be fed from the computer to the device via UART.

I am trying to see the output, not the input, and I am using the same port which I can see the output using Teraterm
I should be able to see the data output, right?

I have not used CCS to check the output UART data stream. Is there a reason you are trying to see the data via CCS or are you just looking to make sure the sensor is working?
