AWR1843BOOST: Ask two questions about Tx Power and Antenna Gain

1) Your assumption and observation are both correct. The txOutPower is the Back-off power for the Tx which ranges from 0-30 dBm. Your effective Tx out power will reduce by whatever value you have set this particular cfg.

2) Are you looking for a general Antenna gain formula or one that involves the HPBW in XY and YZ planes?

I understand about (1).
The transmission power can be adjusted from -18 to 12 dBm.

Regarding (2)
I would like to know both the antenna gain formula and the one that involves the HPBW in XY and YZ planes.

Also, please tell me the antenna gain (both transmission and reception) of AWR1843Boost.

The antenna gain can be expressed as A.G = 32400/( HPBW_Az * HPBW_El). Please note that these are only approximations and don't account for actual beam shape, reflections, losses etc. The antenna gain is primarily a function of the Aperture area and the wavelength of the signal. You can find more information about the same on the web.

Regarding your second question, you can look up the datasheet for the same device to obtain Tx and Rx gain respectively.
