Single Point Temperature Sensing Product

Hi,

Good Day.

The customer is contacting us to ask about our single-point temperature-sensing products. They have a test apparatus that has a 1/2” (inside diameter), single-ply silicone hose that has SAE-10 mineral flowing through it at (approximately) 120*C. The measured flow rate range is: 1.5 L/Min to 9 L/Min

They have tried the “Traceable Digital Thermometer” which is thermistor-based, accurate to three decimal places, and able to point measure a flowing fluid’s bulk temperature between 50*C to 150*C. It originally was made by Cole-Parmer. The software that enables the probe’s monitor to communicate with a computer is old and does not work at all. Hopefully, we have something else for them that meets their temperature sensing and measurement requirements.

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hi Ray Vincent,

We have several temperature sensors that can meet their accuracy and temperature range requirements, as shown in this parametric search [temperature range 50°C to 150°C, accuracy ±1°C (this can be adjusted depending on accuracy requirements)].

From there it would depend on preferred interface, for example: TMP117 (I2C), TMP126 (SPI), LMT01 (Pulse Count), etc.

Perhaps a small pcb could be mounted inside the tube or the device could be integrated into a probe. SAE-10 mineral oil is nonconductive so it should not impact the performance of our part if it makes contact.

    Best regards,

    Jesse
