AWR2243: Does ESM Fault drive NERROR_OUT pin to low?

Part Number: AWR2243

Hi,

There is NEEROR_OUT pin on AWR2243, but I can't find clear info about what will drive this pin to low. I only found below info in datasheet.

Clock Compare module (CCC) module is used to compare the APLL divided down frequency with reference clock (XTAL). Failure detection is indicated by the nERROR OUT signal.

For other mmwave device, ESM error is linked to NEEROR_OUT pin. Is it same for AWR2243? On the other word, does ESM Fault driver NERROR_OUT pin to low? Is there any other fault event (such as CPU fault) which will also drive NEEROR_OUT pin to low?

Thanks,

Chris

  • Hi Chris,

    As specified in the datasheet,

    1) The CCC module will report an error on the pin

    2) RTI/WD module will report an error on the pin

    3) ECC for Peripheral interface SRAMs – SPI, I2C will report an error on the pin

    4) The ESM module will report an error on the pin

You can find this info in section 10 of the datasheet.

    Thanks,

    Pradipta.
