PGA460-Q1: MOSFET selection

Hi 

The datasheet suggest Fairchild FDC6506P p-channel MOSFET 

However my customer afraid FDC6506P might EOL.

Can you advise how to select a suitable MOSFET to works with PGA460 ?

    Hello PYTsai,

    Thanks for posting to the sensing forum! As far as I know TI does not offer an equivalent part to FDC6506P but we have suggested the TI CSD75208W1015 in the past.

    The main items to focus on when selecting a MOSFET for your ultrasonic application are:

    1. Ensuring that the MOSFETs gate to source voltage is capable of handling the expected voltage on OUTx pins.

    2. Ensuring that the MOSFETs drain to source voltage is capable of handling the voltage being supplied to the transducer.

    3. Verify that the MOSFET is capable of switching at the transducer driving frequency.

    If you have more specific MOSFET questions it might be beneficial to make a post specifically regarding MOSFETs to get some assistance from the power management group on MOSFET selection.
